Jaguar XE vs BMW 335 in Motor Trend Comparo

BMW 335i’s Turbo inline six generates 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque from 1,300 to 5,000 rpm.
With the arrival of the W205 Mercedes-Benz C400 and its replacement the C450 AMG Sport, the upcoming 2016 B9 Audi S4, and the Jaguar XE S, BMW will soon rename the BMW 335i to 340i with a 320 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque.
Both the 2016 Jaguar XE S and BMW 335i use the same eight-speed ZF Automatic Transmission, with different tunes.
BMW 3-series will soon become the least powerful of the bunch in the Luxury Sports sedan segment.
2015 Mercedes-Benz C400 is powered by a 3.0-Liter biturbo V6 that produces 329 hp @ 5,250-6,000 rpm and 354 lb-ft @ 1,600-4,000 rpm which is good for a 4.6 seconds 0-60 mph, and its replacement the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport produces 362 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque which enables the sedan to go from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
Audi just unveiled the 2016 Audi A4, and the 2016 Audi S4 is also around the corner. The B9 Audi S4 will be powered by a 3.0-liter Supercharged V6 with 360 hp and 380 ft-lb of torque and coupled to its far more superior DCT, the combo will enable the super sedan to go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds.
2016 BMW 340i with its 320 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque turbo six will do 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and the 340i xDrive will do the same deed in 4.6 seconds.
2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is also around the corner.
2016 Jaguar XE S does 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds with its RWD layout.

2016 Jaguar XE S has a better chassis (more nimble and planted), its engine is more responsive, it sounds better, it handles better, it drives better and its interior is better than the BMW.
The 2016 Jaguar XE S wins the Motor Trend Head 2 Head against the BMW 335i. There is a new sheriff in Sports sedan town.
